Baking: Preheat your oven to 325°F. Season your flounder fillets with salt and pepper, then brush with a mixture of butter, lemon juice, and onion powder. Arrange the fillets on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Grilling: Preheat your grill to 375°F. Marinate your flounder fillets with a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Place the fillets on foil and grill covered for about 4 minutes. Brush with a mixture of mayonnaise, butter, parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs. Grill covered for another 4 minutes.

Pan-frying: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Pat your flounder filets with a paper towel to dry the surface. Season the filets with salt and pepper. Place the filets in the pan and cook for about 3 minutes per side.

Versatility is the main selling point of the fresh gulf flounder. Unlike other fish options, flounder does not have an overpowering "fishy" flavor. The tender white flesh of gulf flounder is light, slightly sweet, and mild overall, which allows you to use many different seasonings and cooking methods.

Fresh gulf flounder is full of vitamin B12 and beneficial omega-3 fatty acids that can greatly benefit your heart health. Flounder also contains a good amount of protein at a low-calorie count per serving. It also contains a low-fat content and nutrients like magnesium and phosphorus, which can aid cardiovascular health and bone strength.

ABOUT SKIPPERS

Where We Catch Our Fish

Latitude: 30° 23’ 36.456” N
Longitude: -86° 30’ 35.422” W
We catch all of our fresh fish products directly from the Gulf of Mexico, using nothing more than rods and reels. We typically set our lines at a depth of about 30 to 200 feet which allows us to reel in the wide range of fish species we offer. Our fishing practices are entirely sustainable, which means we don’t use tools like large nets that capture sea creatures indiscriminately and harm the ocean’s ecosystem. After we bring in a catch, we clean every fish by hand and keep only the best cuts before packaging them and shipping them to you.

About Skipper's Fresh Seafood

At Skipper's Seafood, we dedicate ourselves to providing the highest-quality seafood from hook to table across the country. We're proud to say that our products are sustainably caught and fresher than anything you can find at your local grocery store.
