Baking: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Use a knife to remove the oysters from their shells. Clean the oysters and the shells. Season with salt and pepper, then top with a mixture of shredded cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese. Place the oysters back in their shells. Arrange the oysters on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes.

Grilling: Preheat your grill to 450°F. Use a knife to remove the oysters from their shells. Clean the oysters and the shells. Place the oysters back in their shells, add breadcrumbs, and arrange them on a baking sheet. Place the sheet on the grill and cook covered for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with lemon.

When you first taste a seasonal fresh gulf oyster, you'll experience a delightful blend of distinct flavors. That flavor profile includes brininess, sweetness, savoriness, and a creamy taste as well. The oysters are typically quite large and meaty and can have a hint of crispness to their flavor, too. Fresh gulf oysters taste great on their own, but you can enhance their flavor with just a small amount of lemon.

When eating seasonal fresh gulf oysters, you won't need to worry too much about your calorie count. After eating 12 of these oysters, you will have consumed less than 250 calories in total. That same quantity of oysters gives you about 14 grams of fat as well. Oysters are also capable of helping your liver, thanks to the fact that they contain an antioxidant called DHMBA. They also contain vitamins B12 and D, along with other antioxidants.
